As an anniversary gift, the wife I dont deserve managed to source a boxed 16k ZX Spectrum (issue 3) here in Aotearoa NZ, complete with manuals, PSU and Horizons cassette. Some very light & endearing doodling on the packaging by original owner. Predictably, the ribbons from the keyboard membrane have split, so I guess I'll be looking for a supplier of replacements that'll ship globally, maybe pick up a cap replacement kit and perhaps consider a 48k upgrade kit. Although, I already have a kit built 128k ZX Nuvo/ Harlequin. Might be nice to just leave the Spectrum at its original 16k.

@car@cloudisland.nz oh gosh a surge of nostalgia. I graduated from a hand-me-down ZX81 straight to a Spectrum Plus. Friends had the rubber-key one, but I never actually owned that model. So good though.
