everyone got that one oomf that talks about some media thing that you have no clue what it is theyre rambling about, but they're probably making a decent point or something

@theking@mskey.nekomimi.party this is because the architecture of fedi discourages effortposts and necroboosting - and therefore fandom culture. so when you see a ramble, you're unlikely to have any prior knowledge of the subject. which sucks and idk how to fix it except some kind of backfilling for posts from instances that died before the current ones were made. which seems fraught
