@cohanf@mastodon.online Cool!! That is what I hope will happen. Tricky bit is winter sun hits it until oaks across street leaf out in May, so from then on will be part to mostly shaded. So I am looking for plants that will do their whole thing by then, ephemerals, or will tolerate the shade. If I remember right, some sun peaks through in places for short bits of time. I am also wondering if I might get away with packing some good soil in spots to grow very early leaf lettuce, spinach, cilantro, knowing it will need more water than rock wall plants do, and won't last past May. I do want to add some trailing flowers and greenery too, though, just for beauty, and pollinators.

@BrambleBearWhuffling@sunny.garden I don't have experience with bulbs in a more exposed site like that, but if there are any spots with enough soil to tuck in some small bulbs like Crocus , Corydalis, Muscari- those would be done by late spring.. Maybe other spring things like Hepatica? -evergreen but early blooming and expecting shade later.. Oh, Gypsophila repens.. Things like lettuce at least you can try from seed inexpensively :) Other annuals could be fun to play with alswo- Marigolds? lobelia?
