@treyhunner@mastodon.social right, but if using .venv and uv, then there is no need to activate the virtual env to begin with? As in uv will see the venv and activate it before running right? And the env vars can be set with the flag.

@minkiu@mastodon.social true, as long as you only ever invoke things through `uv run`; that's not the way a lot of developers prefer (myself included); I like to have my commands on PATH and invoke them alone. That plays nicer with IDEs and other development environments that are not uv-aware. @treyhunner@mastodon.social @webology@mastodon.social @tsvenson@fosstodon.org @hynek@mastodon.social @brianokken@fosstodon.org
