Just finished rewatching all of “Serial Experiments Lain” again. It’s probably been 20 years since the last time I watched it and it was definitely interesting experiencing it again with the current growth of AI. Not for the existence of a God figure but for the addiction to the use of the Wired the ancillary characters all demonstrate. That aspect of the story was prescient in ways I never imagined possible. Still a great story, but still one that I likely won’t watch again for another decade or two.
