The only disappointing bit is that they offer purchase links that go to Amazon, but the thing I heard that appealed to me the most was available on BandCamp, so I got it there instead. The Mission Control channel appears to still exist, although I haven't heard anything yet quite as enthralling as what I remember, but that's probably some random chance influencing what they were playing. That said, there's something I'm listening to now that's pleasant, but looking at the artist on BandCamp, and... he's released 10 albums since the end of October. Going back to the beginning of what we might term "the slop era" he's been shockingly productive, and I can't help but wonder. Multiple albums a month, sometimes on the same day, seems like a fair amount of work. I'm thinking that my plan of rejecting anything created after 2020 unless I know the artist or have reason to believe it's not slop is probably a safe bet that'll serve me well over the coming decades.
