It seems totally set up for purposes of AI scraping.
I’m not sure why Jack felt he had to start new just to do THAT.
Another thing I think he wanted, that original Twitter did NOT have (it created its own virtual one based on personal interest instead ) is an IRL ‘network effect’ of the type Facebook always had, that might be more likely to be exploited in different ways; a INVITED member has a better chance of being a real vetted person (to exploit), not a bot

@sesivany@floss.social @mastodonmigration@mastodon.online Bot swarms and artificial claques by people trying to reach mass appeal, and an archive going back 15 years were stressing servers were creating more costs than profits. He was shaking off overhead.
