who handles the investigation into Farage’s alleged receipt of £5m and any attempt to conceal it? Electoral Commission → mandatory first stage, and if they find wrong doing it goes to Police → if there’s evidence of false declarations, they will pass it to NCA → to see if the money trail involves crypto liquidation, offshore routing, or concealment and if the “gift” wasn’t declared as income it goes to HMRC if the investigation progresses in this way it could become criminal.
