@denzilferreira@techhub.social @Chickerino@tech.lgbt @Gargron@mastodon.social on both windows and linux no additional permission is needed to install to a users home directory or simply run without installing. The permission model on both operating systems is more geared towards preventing the system configuration from getting messed up than preventing anything remotely malicious.
