I need to look into it more, I'm wondering why she thought her results went against the helix model, and if she published her findings. I'm wondering if the issue is DNA being a double helix, vs. a single helix. the diffraction pattern would look a lot different, and so that caused her to write it off. Part of me questions if it can even be called plagerism. A person who was working with her, shared results with someone else he worked with, who then shared results with someone else he worked with. And it wasn't like the image was the "light bulb" moment for them, one of them just mentioned "well we happened to have a chance to see something she was working on". I should try to find the original paper.
