@danie10@mastodon.social Fab tool. If the code of the app is not able to be inspected, how can one use it happily? I never ever use third party tools from outside the #nixOS package repo unless I can inspect the code....so I am perplexed ๐ค. Am I the only one that thinks like this? Have I missed something? Is this strange macOS type thinking (trust all ๐ code) in Linux Foss space?

@adingbatponder@fosstodon.org you are correct, but I suppose in this case it is a well known dev from the Apple ecosystem. The backend he uses to hook into the kernel is open source (and same as OpenSnitch and others use). It is really his front end GUI and algorithms that he does not want to open up (yet as he says).
