@j4ck@iosdev.space ahh, thank you. that's what I was missing. I thought it was saying that somehow the amortization itself was creating some type of delayed tax consequence which was leading to increasing layoffs.

If they are not profitable, they do not pay that type of tax anyway. What am I missing? Also, section 174 has been changed back, for tax years 2025 and ongoing. Yet, the layoffs have continued in tech.
