Absolutely true. The TCJA and its dogshit sequel the OBBBA have each been, as you might expect, unmitigated disasters.

@andrew@esq.social @j4ck@iosdev.space @atpfm@mastodon.social @siracusa@mastodon.social that being said, the article cited does not in any way make the case that making r&d amortizable was a 'time bomb' that we're just seeing the effects of now... and as a tax lawyer I'm struggling to determine whether there is some truth to that, and i just don't see it. which doesn't mean it's not there! edit: I was misreading what it meant by time bomb, see below.
