Comments as opposed to reply posts
- can be as short as a word or an emoji
- are on someone else's content (ie not independent)
- have a "less important" status on your profile
- signal a contained reaction and not the start of a new action

Conversely, reply posts (vs comments): - usually demand more substance and time to process - are a position on your front page, an "official" post - are (usually) isolated from surrounding comments, i.e. are less informed by them - are less prone to being bandwagoned
