@danirabbit@mastodon.online @drahardja@sfba.social I'm not in CA (so not super knowledgeable about the race), but I telework in CA so pay some attention to it. I'm curious... is the reason Porter isn't seen as viable those complaints about her treatment of staffers awhile back (did that just leave a bad taste in people's mouths) or is there something else? The idea of voting for a billionaire to get a progressive platform seems backwards to me.

@ksclarke@code4lib.social I haven’t personally heard any other criticisms of her

@ksclarke@code4lib.social @danirabbit@mastodon.online Honestly, I think Porter’s failure in the polls comes to one thing: lack of advertising. Since the average voter hears nothing about Porter except what her opponents are saying, that scene where she was mean to her staffers is very salient in their minds. We don’t have any good Dem candidates here. But man I am *adamant* to not let Hilton or Bianco win. The best case scenario would be a Becerra-Steyer matchup in November, so I think we need to pool our votes on those two candidates. Both of them stink IMO, but they stink less than the Republican neofascists.
