One comment by one person != the company.
I think he misreads the situation a bit, but he's also not completely wrong. Some dems like Schumer are blatantly corrupt and block anything that would improve everything. They both use all this data for campaigns too.

It's not one comment by one person. It's created a loss of trust in a company whose entire product is built on being trustworthy. His actions betray the goals of the company (making a profit) by damaging their reputation.
