@GubbiAnn@mastodon.art also re: the limiter: it could be something weird with DC offset or sub frequencies crushing your output. like if the signal is unbalanced, then gets compressed. I mostly do feedback within a laptop, but even with digital it’s very easy for the DC offset to run off in some direction. so I’ve always got a high pass and a compressor within the feedback chain. (also, very relatable re: venues scared of noise music haha 😂)

    @trashpandaqc@mastodon.online sidetracking and going offtopic, i got curious how one does it in a laptop. You use max loops or something similar? And yes, i also organize concerts in a location, and i need sometimes to be the person protecting thd system or at least crossing fingers.. things usually dont go wrong, usually noise musicians do something like Risk Aware Concious Noise, but still accidents happen.. I may print a tshirt with that.
