For those wanting a visual idea, specially the pedals and mixer (i am right handed, so mixer to the right). But the original connections had been chsnged at this point already, this photo was taken yesterday at a little gig after i had to frantically do plan b when no input decided to basically harrumph and discreetly shut up except for when i switched off most of the effects.
Ah, i know that the location pa had a huge compressor working as a limiter, because they were scared of no input.

@GubbiAnn@mastodon.art also re: the limiter: it could be something weird with DC offset or sub frequencies crushing your output. like if the signal is unbalanced, then gets compressed. I mostly do feedback within a laptop, but even with digital it’s very easy for the DC offset to run off in some direction. so I’ve always got a high pass and a compressor within the feedback chain. (also, very relatable re: venues scared of noise music haha 😂)
