@ZDL@mstdn.social ... continue with how much enshittification the open source community condones and supports (TL;DR), a lot of it has to do with compromising on exactly those ideals that Stallman is inflexible on.
It's just an unpleasant lesson to learn.
But the problem with Stallman isn't *that*, it's as you said, being a sex pest.
It's way more damaging that people with the means to remove him from his position choose to be *flexible* and overlook this aspect.

@ZDL@mstdn.social The worst part, from my point of view, is that both "free software" and "open source" perspectives are so entrenched in the wider FLOSS community that a whole lot of people have real trouble imagining any other way this could go. If you start from a human rights centered point of view (and I do not care which specific text you're referring to, it's the principles they embody), and deal with software from there, then you will arrive at conclusions that are not in either of those camps.
