My point is more that it's really hard to effectively engage with people insisting on this kind of thing.
Again, in general, nothing really to do with this particular situation you're describing.

@jens@social.finkhaeuser.de Indeed. It can be like "engaging" with a brick wall by hammering your head at it repeatedly until your brains spill out and you die. (Incidentally, this was actually a thing in imperial China. People committed suicide that way. Ugh.)
