I had a dumb idea of turning closed schools into below market rate housing for teachers, since teachers also often can't afford to live around here.

@alienghic@timeloop.cafe that’s a great idea. A shut-down high school in the the San Francisco Bay Area rented out the classrooms and labs as office and cooking spaces for incredible low prices including rights to use the gyms/showers. Living there wasn’t allowed, but also wasn’t enforced. @dlakelan@mastodon.sdf.org
