Last night in Neverness to Everness I took a break from following the main quest line and did a side quest. Named enemy was level 28. I ALMOST took him out but not quite. Then I realized I'd never bothered to level up my characters. Had enough geegaws to level them all to 20 and I mopped the floor with the boss. If a group of level 1 characters can almost take out a level 28 enemy... I'm gonna call that a pretty casual combat system. Maybe the balance changes later on.
