@ruari@velocipederider.com All the car commercials I see have the cars driving on the wrong side of the road.
If they can't even be arsed to make a commercial for right hand drive cars how much confidence can I have that they can be arsed to make the right hand drive cars themselves properly?
Plus ... I buy a car once every twenty-something years, run it until it dies, then buy a new one. So almost all the car ads I see in my lifetime are for cars, and even brands, that won't exist at the point when I make my next purchase. So all wasted money. I do have to wonder whether the money spent on advertising cars to me over twenty years costs more than the car I eventually buy?

@TimWardCam@c.im @ruari@velocipederider.com I gave up watching linear telly long before I started driving, block all ads online, and have always bought cars a few years old. So all this advertising is 0 use to me, and on the occasions I've tried to read an article about a car on my mobile without adblockers, its often interrupted by ads for the *same* or similar vehicle!
