In hindsight some of our (or at least my) ideas on fairer copyright seem quite naive. The concepts & laws upon Creative Commons licenses are built, are willfully ignored by multinational conglomerates (a.k.a big tech) in the pursuit of profit and power. The ongoing sharecropping and pillaging of creativity to train AI has a tremendous impact on our society. Protection of creators and upholding our social contracts (attribution anyone?) have been lackluster at best.
