(the Regex in my client doesn't seem to allow . between the two @ in a username)

@ralf@mastodon.online @bsky.brid.gy One reason is clients will turn those IDs into broken links and I don't want to get flooded with "it doesn't work" replies. There's the image alt text if that helps (e.g., in Tusky I can select and copy from alt text).
