@ralf@mastodon.online @bsky.brid.gy One reason is clients will turn those IDs into broken links and I don't want to get flooded with "it doesn't work" replies. There's the image alt text if that helps (e.g., in Tusky I can select and copy from alt text).

@texttheater@mastodon.social @bsky.brid.gy ah. using the alt text is a great hack. was not aware of that and used the short term memory feature in my brain. ...only took me 3x back and forth to get it right 🙈
