But if you'd like to know more, let me explain: You probably heard of GNOME and KDE Plasma. They are different "desktop environments" for Linux. They are simply different looks for the computer. Both come with their own set of apps: Web Browser, File Explorer, Messenger, Mastodon App, and so on.
Actually, there are lists:
https://apps.kde.org
https://apps.gnome.org
But nothing is stopping you from mixing apps from both of them, which is what I do! 🙂

@malbyx@a.junimo.party Oh yeah, GNOME and KDE Plasma are not the only desktops. There is also Xfce and Cinnamon and many many more. If you're using Linux Mint for example, then you're most likely using Cinnamon.
