@clew@ecoevo.social I am extremely grumpy about my plastic encrusted mulch patch right now. Weeds, including a single poison ivy vine, grew on top of it. I pulled the vine, thinking I was taking enough precautions (gloves, washed right after.) I now have rashes that look like chemical burns, my arms are wrapped in gauze because the blisters are weeping, and I'm loopy from Benadryl.

@trachelipus@masto.ai UGH UGH Much commiseration am thinking, would I want to use a synthetic tarp on poison ivy? Sure I want to kill it, but the whole thing about my use of tarps is that I reuse them over and over, and I don't want to worry about urushiol (?) on the tarps BALES of plain cardboard on the baleful vine?
