@beep@follow.ethanmarcotte.com @csilverman@mastodon.social Yeah, unions should exist even when there’s nothing bad. It’s a way to present a voice and shape the direction as a collective. Usually people don’t bother to unless there’s something to negotiate about, but it doesn’t necessarily mean something’s bad, and it’d be good to try to break that association, as it’s kinda an anti-union meme, tbh. (Like “you don’t need a union unless your work sucks” suppresses union membership and makes people feel it’s “not for them.”)
