@beep@follow.ethanmarcotte.com If there's one thing these unionizations reveal, it's how many organizations I considered decent and trustworthy are run by scumbags. It's like learning Mr Rogers was running a sweatshop.
But I love to see it, especially since it underscores the point that if it's indeed the inevitable state of things that the best organizations wind up managed by their worst people, maybe society needs more of a bulwark against sociopathic leadership than a group of locals deciding that enough is enough.

@csilverman@mastodon.social I hear you 💜 And I can’t personally speak to what it’s like on the ground at these orgs. In the worst case scenarios, it’s probably very similar to what you describe. But/and I’ve spoken with workers who wanted a contract to preserve what was working *well* at their companies.
