My job is demanding I become an AI expert despite my (unvoiced) concerns so I've been exploring tools that don't give money and power to unethical corporations.
Last night I got OpenCode (open source Claude Code) working with Llama.cpp (local LLM server) and OmniCoder (open source model).
It feels like rolling my own cigarettes instead of smoking Marlboros.
