Heya. First in a series of daily posts. Let's see for how long I can keep this up. --- Okay so for the record this had to be completely rewritten from scratch since the file on which I had this post got corrupted. Anyway, I've recently been hacking away at Fire Emblem Gaiden's code, and I successfully managed to insert the weapon kind names, such as Sword, Spear, Ax, Magic... stuff like that. I'm also having to refactor a significant portion of the code I wrote for Gaiden since it's buggy, either due to inexperience on my part or being AI-hallucinated. As I've written in a lengthy reddit post though, I'm not going to use AI anymore whatsoever, so that's that. The English translation by Aeon Genesis uses some weird text compression trick to make the entire script fit, so if I attempt to translate this into another language I'll be reinserting the script onto a clean, Japanese ROM.
