Americas tech sector is such garbage. I am sick of it. When I manually select or adjust something, automation should NOT change that setting back. If I turn off "smart features" they should be fucking OFF. If I want to use a phone without the bluetooth earbuds, the earbuds should not take over the audio in the middle of a fucking call EVER. The problem is that the device and the software are never considered the property of the user. This has much deeper problems than just these annoyances. It is why we can not even trust our devices as they are used to spy on us. We need to destroy these companies and forbid public-private partnerships with any security agency - especially those within the US security state.
