As a follow up. Stop sharing links** leading to the legacy corporate social media in the #Fediverse. Stop liking and boosting those kinds of posts. If anything, we should be sharing links from the Fediverse … there. And include a comment with a call to action to join the appropriate space. Starve legacy corporate social media of all attention. If people you follow share stuff like this, remind them to slow it down or stop altogether with replies like x;dr or fb;dr. **includes screenshots

@wndxlori@ruby.social Or you could do like I do and not interact with any of them. Also I will never call them anything but twitter and facebook until I am highly paid to call them something else. I quit twitter an facebook nearly 10 years ago due to the uptick in nazis and fascists on both sites.

@wndxlori@ruby.social Is there a Facebook fedi alternative? Mastodon and others are Twitter alternatives. But those are all too shouty and shallow for family groups. I don't know what Facebook has.
