It's not exactly a helpful metric but "sensible abstractions" == "I can still understand them 5+ years later AND they save me time"

Python packaging and dependency management remains a massive dumpster fire. If anything the dumpster is more massive than 20 years ago when I learned this stuff and all of it is still on fire. Then again, does any ecosystem do this right?
