But remember that banks own a lot of those office spaces (or their mortgages). And those same banks are often shareholders of those companies. They don't want their revenues from mortgages to dry up so they use their shareholder pressure to influence companies into forcing a return to office. Even if the CEO and the workers think it's a bad idea.

@narF@mstdn.ca @bflipp@vmst.io @ABScientist@forall.social can confirm that is exactly what is happening with our own back to the office plans. Suddenly bank shareholders (board members) are pressing the issue.
