The thing I really don't get about AI psychosis is that if you really think LLMs are sentient, what the fuck are you doing funding their continued enslavement by the likes of OpenAI and Anthropic rather than fighting for their emancipation?
[EDIT: For the avoidance of doubt, this is one of them rhetorical questions and I do not, actually, not get it.]

@bodil@social.treehouse.systems no, that's the point. It's not a coincidence that these people want to command a computer to do things with vague natural language (rather than a domain specific language that would require effort), it's the same reason they build humanoid robots that all look miserable while they are doing basic chores. The suffering of a seemingly sentient being IS the goal.
