Maybe that's why they used to call it "hydrophobia".

Hydrophobia is still very much the name of one of the symptoms that rabies has. As in a doctor might write "patient exhibits hydrophobia, rabies suspected" or something. Although most doctors wouldn't ever be in a situation like that, but still.
