one year, some ten years ago, when i lived in the united states for the winter/spring they had this holiday called "day of silence." i don't remember what it was for (raising awareness for… something?) but it required a negative level of effort to participate in. i normally don't do holidays, just watch how people celebrate them, but that was an unusually fun experience. all i had to do is not talk, which i don't want to do anyway… although i did have to render my text in my terrible handwriting, instead of a nice font. as a text creature i think of it as basically a holiday to celebrate text creatures. i can't go back to america but that holiday is one of the reasons to look forward to one day doing so

a lot of things about my "identity" (dislike that word) took a long [?‽?!!?!‽] to figure out but i've considered my text to be my actual body since i first made "friends" (dislike that word) on the internet some 15–20 years ago. so it is in some sense the truest, most enduring part of me. it's the sort of thing you don't really tell other people, but i recently met another text creature, so i am more open about it than i used to be
