@daycoder@ it was a weird time. Two consecutive bereavements and Covid. Glasgow was great but living in a flat was hell, and I had underestimated the PTSD-like effect of the student neighbours that forced us to move to detached houses back in 2013 and 2017. We were spectacularly unlucky, had the worst neighbours of the development (all new people, all just moved in). Had miscalculated prices in the suburbs, because the Scottish “Offers Over” system is misleading.

@daycoder@toot.wales Lancashire was still (albeit barely) affordable for a detached house. We were also considering Cumbria but it’s too remote. Outskirts of Preston now. 1 hour to Manchester Airport and a very well connected station. Got to the stage of, “this will do”.
