@ansuz@gts.cryptography.dog I love that you share this. Because I think one important antidote is to motivate people to actually do things for fun again. With their own hands and brains and hearts. And talk about how rewarding that is.

@ansuz@gts.cryptography.dog I've been in a similar headspace lately. I'm looking a either love2d or defold, because my previous forays into godot left me feeling like I was fighting against its assumptions to get my ideas out.

@ansuz@gts.cryptography.dog Cool project. So happy to see peope having fun with coding (esp. these days). I’m doing something similar ish by creating a bespoke static site generator in Swift by hand. It’s a lot of fun, lot’s of opportunities to make it juust the way you want and make interesting technical choices (and since it’s a personal bespoke project they can be very subjective!). So making a bespoke static site generator in a language you like or are curious about can also be a fun kind of project.

@ansuz@gts.cryptography.dog I can relate so much to that. I am going through a similar process of redirecting energy to building something, also in the video game area, but with the #bevy game engine! And that's helping me a lot as well. Looking forward seeing what comes out of your ideas!
