RE: https://circumstances.run/@amtiskaw/116517213230368583 tl;dr: i decided to stop the offline migration, bring up the vm again, and run the migration manually. it might take much longer, but the downtime will be limited. now for the slightly more technical details: the i/o on the outgoing machine is terrible (spinning rust be damned), i decided to run manual migration via zfs incremental snapshots, and then do the necessary vm configuration lifting, new box has nvme. when the migration finally finishes, the pachyderm should be much snappier, also, we have a temporary proxmox cluster, because i wanted to do the migration the easy way. now i know how to do proxmox clustering!
