For recently arrived people who are unfamiliar with how the Fediverse works: Pleez put hashtags at the end of your posts. Since Mastodon has no algorithms, hashtags -- and boosts -- are your way of gaining attention. Pro tip: Put a #Linux hashtag at the end of every post to make it searchable on the basis of its topic.
