Now the air was filled with relieved sighs as calm washed across the quad. Those fixated on the odd structure pointed at an approaching procession.
As they drew near, Dean saw they were all different iterations of Dr. Brewer. One stout example with steampunk goggles and a paper mask. Another with a remarkable physique despite his age. One had a cybernetic arm and wore dark wraparound glasses. Dean Case swore he saw one surreptitiously remove a red armband and stuff it into a pocket. 5/x

As for the real, embodied, Dr. Brewer of this world he could only stare at the parade of himself heading towards the dais. Masked Brewer gingerly walked up to the lectern and whispered to Dean, "None of us woulda missed this for the worlds." Both Brewers stared at each other, "Hi! I'm a research biologist!"
