and its subtle, but the elevator doors also have a slight marbling paint job to them
none of this serves any real purpose except to add visual complexity to the scene and make it appealing to the eye
and it works! it looks great!

and importantly, none of this is hard to make. everything here could be done with plywood, foam core, cardboard, you name it. its just thin paneling and paint
