a golden rule for making interesting sets is detail. consider this set from Babylon 5. its a hallway with an elevator and a second joining hallway to the left. it could just be a plain hallway with boring walls, but that would be, well boring

the back adjoining hall has tall thin ribs, with shorter but wide ribs above it, all running vertically the wall has large panels, with square .. bolts??? on the tops and bottoms the elevator doors are diagonally split, have horizontal panels, and the top has a bolted strip
