@harris@social.coop I'm seeing a Rings of Power-type debacle coming. Those of you who were accused of being Tolkien "purists" by that show's spin-quacks may have fond memories of the very thorough, and months long, bagging that Bezoz's Tolkien perversion show received. A lot of fun was had at a nasty billionaire's great expense. A repeat with this production would cost HBO a lot of money and move JKR's works to the "financially risky, or even disastrous" category. #RingsOfPower #Tolkien #HarryPotter
