@Knz@masto.ai It is so confusing at first. There are a million apps for UI. There is so much customization, it took me months to get comfortable. But that’s because you can have it however you want it, it’s not being forced on you one particular way. Which is amazing and daunting, to find how you want it. I suggest trying many apps early and often. @ivory@tapbots.social @tootapp@mastodon.social @IceCubesApp@mastodon.online @MetaText@mastodon.social are my favs for iOS and @elk@m.webtoo.ls is the most beautiful for desktop, hands down.

@chancerydaily@masto.ai https://phanpy.social/ is quite nice as well, and does some really unique things. I’d love to see its boost carousel come to the stock web app, for example.

It’s been so inspiring to watch a truly vibrant and authentic development community work. It’s enough to make you believe in humanity again, which—to be fair, after last year—was a tall order.
