What is so glorious for those of you just joining now is how much innovation has taken place here, without the drive of advertiser or data mining dollars, in just the space of a handful of months. It’s been so inspiring to watch a truly vibrant and authentic development community work. It’s enough to make you believe in humanity again, which—to be fair, after last year—was a tall order.

One of its standout features for me is that it makes it very easy to scroll your timeline by either boosts or posts. Turns out that its sometimes surprisingly nice to only read all the boosts. Its like reading an algorithmic suggested timeline, but theres no algorithm and all the posts are things I actually want to see.
