@schmerg@mas.to depends on context. "know your role, play your role", though sometimes you need to step up and be the adult (at work, especially in my volunteer roles, but in the world in general)

@Offbeatmammal@mastodon.social The temptation with hindsight is either simple self-justification or to beat yourself up with regret, where I personally think to look back and try to recall the reasoning at the time (the "Why?" of the moment) is I think is more informative as less judgemental... YMMV obv...
